Highways 138 and 58 run east and west through the Antelope Valley accessing the Inland Empire and Tehachapi/Central Valley respectively. Lancaster's options when it comes to larger airports are Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Bob Hope Airport (also known as Burbank Airport). LAX is about 70 mile from Lancaster which equates to about an hour and a half drive. Bob Hope Airport is located in Burbank, about 60 miles from Lancaster amounting to an hour drive. Lancaster also neighbors two smaller private airports: General William J Fox Airfield and Palmdale Regional Airport.

Lancaster provides Park and Ride facilities at a central location, Lancaster City Park. This is also a transfer station for the public bus transportation system. Ample free parking is also available at the Lancaster Metrolink Rail Station at Sierra Hwy and Lancaster Blvd. Parking in downtown Lancaster is also free and Blvd parking includes ramblas parking as well as numerous public parking lots indicated by signage throughout the downtown area.
