Francesca Battistelli (born May 18, 1985) is an American Christian musician, singer-songwriter, and recording artist from New York City, New York. She was originally an independent artist and had released an independent album, Just a Breath, in 2004. Her first studio album on Fervent Records, My Paper Heart, was released on July 22, 2008. Her first single, "I'm Letting Go", was released to radio stations in spring of 2008 and has charted on national Christian CHR charts since then. The song was the 16th most played song of 2008 on Christian radio stations according to R&R magazine. Battistelli received her first Grammy Award nomination in 2009, for Best Gospel Performance with her single, "Free to Be Me".
Platinum recording artist Mark Schultz selected eleven of the most inspiring, and set off to re-imagine them for another fresh century of listeners. His just-completed CD is simply titled, "HYMNS."
With a musical finesse that's garnered multiple Dove nomination and awards, Mark has fashioned a collection that introduces today's generation to the oldest of standards -while at the same time honoring today's elders with a Schultz-twist on their most fondly remembered classics. Teaming up with producers Craig Swift and Chris Bevins, Mark has enhanced the timeless quality of each composer's original hymn, by both rephrasing their insightful words and melodies - and on some tracks - even penning additional verses of his own.
Audio Adrenaline - McGinniss, Engler, Byers and Larring - has been hard at work writing songs and are currently in the studio working on their follow-up to the band's 2012 critically-acclaimed release, Kings & Queens. The new album is slated for release in 2015 by their record label and ministry partner, Fair Trade Services.
With over 500,000 albums and 2 Million singles sold, #1s across multiple genres, numerous placements in film and television, and a notable songwriting career, it is hard to say that PLUMB hasn't already had a major impact as an artist. But it is her latest cross-format single "NEED YOU NOW" that seems to have taken on a whole new life of it's own, finding incredible acceptance in a variety of genres that seem to juxtapose each other.
Tiffany Arbuckle Lee (p.k.a. PLUMB) originated in crossover oriented Christian music, the first signing in the wake of label mates Jars of Clay alternative breakout in the late 90's. Though winner of the DOVE Award for Best Modern Rock Album in 2000, Plumb was always considered too dark and edgy (read "honest") for the bulk of CCM radio. As a result, she had the opportunity to develop in far more diverse circles, co- penning hits for Mandy Moore and Michelle Branch, seeing numerous uses in film and television, and massive singles and sold out concerts in territories as far flung as Russia and the Philippines.
