MOAH Invites the Community to Enjoy CEDARFEST Student
The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) and MOAH:CEDAR invite the public to come enjoy CEDARFEST Student 2017, the museum’s High School Student Arts Festival.
Currently on display at MOAH:CEDAR, a hub of art and culture for local artists, the student-driven exhibition will remain open through May 6. Media award categories featured in this year’s exhibition include: painting, drawing, ceramics, digital and film photography, 2D mixed media, and 3D mixed media. Both upper and lower galleries are open to the public during MOAH:CEDAR’s regular hours of operation, Thursday through Sunday, 2 – 8 p.m. This year’s festival liaisons are Steven Calzada of Palmdale High School and Robyn Young of Eastside High School.
MOAH invites viewers to participate in the exhibition’s Student Choice Award by following MOAH:CEDAR and snapping a photo of their favorite artwork, using the hashtag #cedarfeststudentchoice2017 to vote across Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The winning student will receive a cash prize of $100 which will be awarded at the closing reception.
The closing ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 6 from 6 – 8 p.m. MOAH:CEDAR will also host an Open Mic Night on Saturday, April 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.
